Cyber Sweet Nothings examines “pseudo-intimacy” in contemporary online communication, where affectionate language, emojis and constant connectivity can create an impression of closeness without deeper reciprocal relationships. The project draws on ideas of mediated companionship, performed identity and parasocial interaction to explore the tension between digital connection and emotional distance.

The final work combines Processing-based generative visuals, experimental video and projection mapping across domestic objects and the body. Dialogue bubbles, interface fragments, code, networks and glitch aesthetics form an unstable visual environment in which projected intimacy appears vivid yet temporary, translating the fragility and disposability of online relationships into a physical spatial experience.
